Practice Aims & Philosophy

We strive to provide a high standard of health care to our community by implementing strategies which contribute to a health and independent lifestyle.

UniHealth Medical Centre is a purpose built facility servicing the needs of students of James Cook University and the community of Townsville. The Medical Centre is located just off the University campus next to The Townsville Hospital in the suburb of Douglas. The practice has been operating since September 2002.

The practice is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by a team comprising Meredyth Morris — Practice Manager, Drs Peta-Ann Teague and Dr Prasani Ketheesan — Team Leaders. We are open Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, no weekends or public holidays.

The After Hours GP service use our facilities after hours and registrars are welcome to provide this additional service.
