Upper Ross Medical Centre

Background & History:

The practice has been established for over twenty years and has operated from its current site for the past eight years. It is the only General Medical Practice in the Upper Ross area of Thuringowa, adjacent to the Ross River and serving population base of approximately 20,000. The surgery is part of a purpose built complex that also includes a pharmacy, pathology and dentist and is wheelchair accessible. A dedicated ambulance entrance is available at the rear of the building. The practice bulk bills current health care and pension cardholders, is fully accredited with AGPAL, and fully computerised. The practice has a strong emphasis on providing services to families. It is in an area of workforce shortage and overseas trained doctors can work here.
